Amazing Stories WorldCon/Fall 2018
Various pieces I did for Amazing Stories – I allowed myself one story illustration but had to also do an illustration for the film review column when the artist assigned to that didn’t come through. The rest are little ‘filler’ pieces to prevent too much empty space in the magazine.
As with all my work, everything started as a photorealistic work then various filters were used to get the look I wanted.

Captain Future
Originally used for the cover of Amazing Stories WorldCon 2018 Preview issue sent as a Kickstarter Bonus to our backers. Created using many simple clipart images to create a heroic cover.

Alien Planet
For Amazing Stories’ Kickstarter we needed several background images for the video. I was reasonably pleased with this typical alien planet I put together. Two desert scenes, photos of Saturn and one of its moons all composited together with a little morning mist.
